Select an ethical issue (apart from CRISPR gene editing since that will be discussed in detail in the last Module) that faces Biotechnology implementation in Medicine and post a Discussion Article. Some suggestions can be Cloning of endangered species, Stem Cell Research, GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) Foods, GMO insects and more.
Cover the following topics:
● What is the issue?
● Cite any paper or website on the topic that you read.
● Some background: For example, if your issue is “Stem Cell Research” then give the background information about Stem cells and what they are trying to use it for.
● Past problems and advances
● Pros and Cons of applying the research
● Where do you stand in the debate and Why?
● In the news – What is currently happening in the field and what are the problems and advances in the news?
